Maryam Integrative Naturopath

Maryam is an integrative naturopath with an honours background in the gut microbiome who specialises in complex gut and autoimmune conditions. She is passionate about helping clients understand the deeper drivers behind chronic symptoms and works closely with advanced microbiome testing and interpretation to guide personalised care.

Maryam focuses on building targeted, evidence-informed supplement strategies alongside practical dietary and lifestyle changes that are manageable in real life. Her approach is balanced and integrative—combining modern scientific insights with traditional naturopathic principles to support long-term healing.

Known for her honest and grounded style, Maryam prioritises clarity over hype. She works with clients who want thoughtful, sustainable strategies rather than excessive supplements or unrealistic protocols. Her goal is to help people achieve long-term symptom stability, improved gut function, and greater overall wellbeing. 🌿

As my client, you will recieve direction, structure, prioritisation, clarity and guidance through your treatment plan.

Personalised, integrative and manageable treatment plans
My approach is designed to be manageable, personalised, and grounded in clarity—not overwhelm. I tailor recommendations specifically to your body, lifestyle, and capacity, so you know exactly what to focus on and why. There’s no guesswork or generic protocols—just clear guidance, step-by-step direction, and ongoing support to help you make meaningful changes with confidence. You’ll leave understanding your results, your priorities, and your next steps, so you can move forward feeling informed, supported, and in control of your health
Gut & Microbiome Testing

Gut microbiome testing is one of the most advanced ways to assess digestive health and uncover the "why" of ongoing gut symptoms. The microbiome stool test will help indentify dysbiosis, inflammation, IBS drivers, and microbial imbalances. If you are suffering bloating, constipation, diarrhoea, abdominal pain and discomfort, or food sensitivities, this type of assessment will be extremely valuable. As an experienced microbiome test interpreter, I don’t just give you results—I translate them into a clear, personalised plan tailored to your gut. If you’re tired of trial-and-error and want real answers, now is the time to book your microbiome test interpretation and take the first step toward lasting gut relief.

Hijama Therapy

Hijama (wet cupping) is a traditional therapy used to support the body’s natural detoxification and inflammatory regulation processes. For individuals with IBD or autoimmune conditions, hijama may help reduce inflammatory load, improve circulation, and support immune balance when used alongside appropriate naturopathic and nutritional care. My approach to hijama is gentle, targeted, and tailored to your individual health picture—taking into account your symptoms, energy levels, and capacity for healing. Rather than a one-size-fits-all treatment, hijama is used thoughtfully to provide relief, clarity, and direction as part of a broader, supportive plan.

Naturopathy takes a holistic approach to health, looking at the root causes of illness rather than just treating symptoms. It can support a wide range of health concerns—from gut issues, fatigue, and hormonal imbalances to chronic disease management and preventative care. My focus is on tailoring treatment plans to your individual needs, using nutrition, lifestyle strategies, herbal medicine, and Prophetic health principles where appropriate.

Yes. Naturopathy is a safe, evidence-informed system of healthcare when practiced by a qualified professional. I only recommend treatments that are suitable for your personal health history, and I work with you to ensure everything is realistic, practical, and safe for your circumstances.

Absolutely. I believe in an integrative approach to healthcare. I often collaborate with GPs and other health professionals to ensure you receive the most comprehensive care possible. I respect the role of modern medicine and aim to complement, not replace, it.

Yes. I understand that investing in your health can feel overwhelming, so I offer flexible payment plans, such as Afterpay, to make it more accessible. We can discuss options during your initial consultation.

Yes, in many cases you can, but it’s important to be careful. Some supplements and herbal medicines can interact with prescription medications, either reducing their effectiveness or causing unwanted side effects. As a qualified naturopath with a background in public health and gut microbiome research, I always review your current medications before making any recommendations, ensuring that everything prescribed is safe, evidence-based, and compatible with your treatment plan.

At present, Naturopathy in Australia does not attract private health insurance rebates due to government policy changes. However, I keep my services fairly priced and offer payment flexibility to ensure care remains accessible.

Hijama is a traditional Prophetic therapy that involves applying cups to the skin to create suction, which stimulates blood flow and helps the body’s natural detoxification and healing processes. When practiced safely, it can be a powerful complementary therapy.

Clients often report benefits for:

  • Musculoskeletal pain (back, neck, shoulder pain, arthritis)

  • Migraines and headaches

  • Detoxification and improved circulation

  • Fatigue, stress, and mental clarity

  • Digestive complaints

  • General wellbeing and prevention

Hijama can be performed anytime for health reasons, but there are also specific recommended days in the lunar calendar (17th, 19th, and 21st) that are traditionally recommended for cupping. I guide clients on the most suitable timing depending on whether their goal is therapeutic (targeting a condition) or preventative (for general wellness).
